In Ishgria, Lucius' Disciple Melord and the Oracle Maiden Iriya worked with the Daemon Lords to truly seal up KM for good. If I recall from the story, Lucius fought KM and banished him to Ishgria alongside Iriya, sealing him from returning to Grand Gaia or Elgaia (and at the same time sealing Ishgrian daemons from accessing Elgaia to harm the humans there). I think that it would be more correct to translate it as 'God of Seals, Lucius'. Frankly speaking, that makes little sense if one followed the story. BFGL translated that as 'Sealed God Lucius'. 封神 has seen a prior use on Lucius, which is 封神ルシアス in JP. The short of it is, what it really means depends on the context it is used. Or alternatively as a noun, 'a god that was sealed' (i.e. 神を封じる)Īs a noun, it can mean 'god of sealing' (i.e. Put together, they can mean a variety of things:Īs a verb, it can mean 'to seal a god' (i.e. 封 means 'seal', and 神 usually means 'god'. Today's topic is on 「封神儀」fuu shin gi, which BFGL has translated into 'Divine Machine' (in Bectas) and 'Sealed God' (in Vilanciel)
